Indications

Colic Aid Drops are indicated for:

  • Relief of infant colic and gas-related discomfort
  • Reduction of abdominal bloating and flatulence in infants
  • Soothing mild gastrointestinal discomfort

Dosage and Administration

Infants (0–6 months):

  • 5–10 drops, 2–3 times daily, preferably after feeding

Infants (6–12 months):

  • 10–15 drops, 2–3 times daily

Administration Tips:

  • Administer directly into the mouth or mix with a small amount of water or milk
  • Shake well before use
  • Use the dropper provided for accurate dosing

Mechanism of Action (MOA)

  • Fennel, Dill, and Caraway Oils: Contain volatile oils that have spasmolytic effects, reducing intestinal smooth muscle contractions and relieving gas pain
  • Chamomile Extract: Has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties on the gastrointestinal mucosa
  • Together, these ingredients reduce colic symptoms, improve digestion, and ease abdominal discomfort

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient (fennel, dill, chamomile, caraway)
  • Infants with known liver or kidney disorders (consult pediatrician)
  • Avoid use in infants with allergy to plants of the Asteraceae/Apiaceae family

Warnings and Precautions

  • Consult a pediatrician before use if your infant has any chronic illness
  • Monitor for allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)
  • Do not exceed recommended dose
  • Keep out of reach of children

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects

Common / Mild:

  • Mild nausea or temporary change in stool odor
  • Slight drowsiness in some infants

Rare / Serious:

  • Allergic reactions: rash, swelling, hives, difficulty breathing
  • Gastrointestinal upset (vomiting, diarrhea)

Handling Side Effects:

  • Stop the drops and seek medical advice immediately if signs of allergy occur
  • For mild GI upset, consult your pediatrician for dose adjustment

Storage

  • Store at room temperature (15–25°C)
  • Protect from light and moisture
